- Record rainfall pummeled the UAE and Oman during April 22, 2024, and a brief look back at historic weather data shows just how unusual it was.
- The United Arab Emirates registered a sizzling 51.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday May 24, 2025, breaking its May temperature record for the second day in a row. The desert nation lies in one of the world's hottest regions and is at risk of severe heat waves due to climate change
- As part of UAE's efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure the safety and well-being of citizens, Emirati nationals are prohibited from travelling abroad, effective March 18, 2020 and until further notice
